IM=X
Yoga Certification
This
course teaches the eight standing and six floor sequences
that make up the IM=X Yoga program. Formats
can complement a 20-30 minute cardio or Xercizer routine;
or stand alone as a 60-90 minute workout. IM=X
Yoga is a total body workout which stabilizes the spine,
increases joint mobility, and refreshes the mind of your
clients. IM=X
Yoga was designed to offer clients slower and more meditative
endurance exercises which improve range of motion, stabilization,
and synchronize breath with a progressive series of postures.
This 2-Day Course includes
• Research review on relaxation techniques and breathing
• Research
review on how stress
reduction
impacts diseases such as cancer, heart disease
• Techniques for muscle inhibition, visual imagery,
contract-relax techniques
• Distinction between postural muscles and peripheral
muscles
The
70-page instruction manual contains step-by-step photographs
and instructions on each
sequence -- its target muscles, verbal and tactile cues.

Heart Rate Training Course
Cardiovascular
exercise is essential for improving fitness and health.
Most pilates workouts do not challenge the cardiovascular
system but IM=X Pilates does! This course reviews five
unique IM=X Pilates workouts that integrate cardiovascular
training including Indoor Cycling, Jog Boards, Treadmill/Elliptical
Trainers, Plyometric series on the Xercizer, and Step.
To complete the IM=X Heart Rate Training Course, instructors
must have a current CPR certification.
Course
comes with a 54-page instruction manual and provides step-by-step
instructions and class formats. Additional reading is
required.
Regular cardiovascular exercise improves the efficiency
of lungs, heart and blood circulation. IM=X (Integrated
Movement Xercize) provides regular participants with efficient
circulation, muscular strength/endurance, good posture,
and full range of motion at the joints (flexibility/mobility)
-- all in one workout system. This
course covers the following topics:
- Principles
of Heart Rate Training
- Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE)
- Heart Rate Monitors
- Cardiovascular Equipment and Techniques:
Ellipticals and Treadmills

Cycling techniques such as positioning clients on the
bike, increasing intensity through cadence or resistance,
Monitoring workouts by zone training and more.
- Jog Board Choreography
The 5 formats can be programmed to range in length from
30-90 minutes.
